Sindhuja Jagadeesh
Born in India in 1985, she started architecture school at the age of 17 in Chennai, India, and graduated in 2008. She first came to Auroville in 2006 as an intern to work under the guidance of Andre Hababou. In 2008, while preparing her thesis on “Sustainable Co-housing communities”, she worked and lived in Auroville. Upon graduating, she joined a Chennai firm as Junior Architect, specialized in the design of Information Technology centers. In that position, she furthered her skills as the Site Architect, and designed numerous interiors. She came to live permanently in Auroville, in 2010 and is now a partner of Auromodele Atelier Architects. Her main professional interest revolves around research for a more conscious architecture.
