Annapurna Farm
Annapurna Farm is located about 10 kilometers outside Auroville on the road to Mailam. It compromises of a 135 acres of land and is Aurovilles biggest farm. It works with organic methods only. Rice is the main crop grown here which is grown with rainwater catchment ponds. Apart from paddy, Annapurna also grows millets such as varagu (Kodo millet) and kuduravalli (Barnyard millet), oil seeds sesame and mustard and rosella for juice. All grains are processed on the farm. Annapurna maintains a small dairy and produces cheese. Contact:
