Priya VincentPriya founded the Buddha Garden in Auroville in 2000. Starting with a degraded one-acre plot, she passionately developed it into a thriving 12 acre organic farm that supplies vegetables and fruit to Auroville kitchens and hosts courses in organic farming for volunteers. She was led to the field of organic farming by a search for methods of sustainable living with a closer connection to the earth after working for fifteen years in market research companies. She completed a doctorate in sociology from the University of Surrey, UK and authored two books on pregnancy and birthing and a third called How My Garden Grew (Auroville Press, 2002).

Rene JanssenRené studied electrical engineering and worked as project manager in the Netherlands. Knowing that EMF influences electrical equipment, he started wondering what the influence would be on living beings. This brought him to the building biology. Building Biology caught his enthusiasm immediately. Since all aspects of building and construction have been of a great interest, every previous experience fell in place into one vast subject, Building Biology. He followed the training from the Institute of Building Biology + Ecology Neubeuern (IBN) to become a certified building biologist (Baubiologe IBN). Additionally he trained to become a measuring technician according the SBM 2008 standard. He initiated the Centre for building biology in Auroville. Apart from doing house investigations and EMF assessments he is currently involved in various construction projects in and around Auroville. Placing the Building Biology at the centre of all his activities. ÂÂ Robert TrunzRoby is from Switzerland and has been living in Auroville since 1977. He founded Aureka, a metal workshop facility in 1988. Since then the business unit has grown and now manufactures wind pumps, track racks for solar panels, compressed earth block press and precision components for wind turbine generators. With over 20 years of experience, he was the principal investigator for several research projects investigating alternative energy solutions funded by various agencies. He studied mechanical engineering in Zurich.
Satprem MainiSatprem founded the Auroville Earth Institute in 1989 and has been developing, consulting, teaching and promoting earthenbuilding technologies and earthen architecture in several countries besides India. An internationally acknowledged expert, hehas been the representative for Asia of the UNESCO Chair “Earthen Architecture, Constructive Cultures and SustainableDevelopment” since 2000, He is also a consultant for several United Nations programs and a member of the International Centreof Earth Construction and Indian Society of Earthquake Technology (ISET). He studied at School of Architecture of Lyon (France)and holds a masters degree in Earthen Architecture from the School of Architecture, Grenoble (France).
Sindhuja JagadeeshBorn in India in 1985, she started architecture school at the age of 17 in Chennai, India, and graduated in 2008. She first came to Auroville in 2006 as an intern to work under the guidance of Andre Hababou. In 2008, while preparing her thesis on “Sustainable Co-housing communities”, she worked and lived in Auroville. Upon graduating, she joined a Chennai firm as Junior Architect, specialized in the design of Information Technology centers. In that position, she furthered her skills as the Site Architect, and designed numerous interiors. She came to live permanently in Auroville, in 2010 and is now a partner of Auromodele Atelier Architects. Her main professional interest revolves around research for a more conscious architecture. Suhasini Ayer-GuiganSuhasini has over 20 years of experience in sustainable design, green building practices and planning. She is the founder and principal architect of the Auroville Design Consultants since 1988. She is co-recipient of the Hassan Fathy Award for 'Architecturefor the Poor' in 1992 and recipient of the Design Share Award for educational buildings in 2003 and 2005. She holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Tency BaetensTency came from Belgium and has been living in Auroville since mid-70s. He was involved in the aforestation and renewable energy projects in the early years and later co-founded the Auroville Centre for Scientific Research in 1984 and the Auroville Building Centre in 1989. He is involved in several projects related to appropriate building technologies, renewable energy and sanitation. He also conducts workshops and training courses to professionals and voluntary organizations to promote integral choices for sustainable future.

 Tlaloc has spent his life working for social justice and environmental change. He is currently a member of Auroville Water Harvest team responsible for grant proposals, monitoring, evaluation as well as supervision of interns. He studied environmental education at University of Hawaii and has lectured at the University of New South Wales (Australia) in Sustainable Development. He was also involved in the original reforestation effort in Auroville from 1975-6.
