Sadhana Forest
Sadhana Forest was founded in 2004 to reintroduce TDEF forest and transform 70 acres of severely eroded land. Till date more than 18,200 indigenous trees have been planted with labor of love of young volunteers from all over the world. Through building of earth dams, bunds and channels, the aquifer has been re-charged to enable the soil to again support forest and native plant life. The Sadhana community houses about 150 international volunteers in eco-huts and relies entirely on solar and windmill for energy needs.
